Merry Christmas 2011 / Happy New Year 2012
Merry Christmas, heading into 2012, a year I never thought would come. Meanwhile downtown Detroit, a streetside window on Woodward sends it’s bright light holiday chill into the air. Plenty of seats left for singing, souping and lecturing.

“Occupy Ann Arbor” is setting up shoppe in the aptly-named Liberty Plaza in Ann Arbor, MI. Let’s read some of the advertisements they have on display: “6PM Sign Making & Protest Songs”; “Power To The People”; and something about “Stop Spoiling Our Environment”.

My old Eastside elementary school in Niles, Michigan is returning to life. Recently closed by a questionable school board decision it is now reopening as a magnet institution. Walking through the empty classrooms I photographed the frayed and well-displayed flags. K thru 6 memories at each location.
